Homemade Snow Cones

Is there anything better than a snow cone to quench your thirst on a hot summers day? We would have to say no. Homemade Snow Cones are quite simple to make and the little ones, always seem to go wild for them. So, gather up the kids, which won’t be hard to do, once they find out it’s time to make snow cones! Sure,  you can buy them from the local place down the street, but why bother when you can make them right at home and eat as many as you want to. Besides, this way is so much fun and will cost you less money. We are also making homemade snow cone syrup which tastes a lot better than that stuff that you can get from the market, which by the way, to me is really too sweet.

To make the snow cones, crush the ice in your blender, scoop the ice into small paper cups or paper cones and pour syrup on top. We have recipes for three yummy syrup flavors and I suggest you make them all!
