Your Bedroom: Make sure your bedroom is quiet, dark, and cold; most doctors recommended to keep the thermostat set between 60 to 67 degrees Fahrenheit for the most comfortable sleep. Most important is a comfortable bed.
A Bath: One of the best ways to unwind before bed is to relax in a cozy and warm aromatherapy bath.
Aroma Therapy: Add an aromatherapy candle or diffuser to your bedroom to soothe your mind and body. Using a few drops of your favorite essential oils can help you sleep. A few oils that can help you relax and fall asleep are lavender, chamomile, sweet marjoram, and peppermint.
Herbal Pillow: An aromatherapy infused pillow eases the mind and promotes refreshing and rejuvenating sleep. Sleeping on a calming herbal pillow filled with relaxing thyme, lavender, eucalyptus mint, or vanilla can assist in getting a good night’s sleep.
Snack Before Bed: Having a snack before bed can help you sleep better. Try eating a banana; bananas are a natural relaxant and contain tryptophan and, magnesium are natural sedatives. Yogurt has calcium that processes the hormones that help you sleep, tryptophan, and melatonin. Milk contains melatonin, which is also a natural sedative; so having a warm glass before bed can also help.
