Finding the perfect venue, the flowers in the just the right hue of pink and locating the invitations that are just right for your wedding, can become a bit stressful and drive the you a little crazy as well. However with all your planning, don’t forget about one of the most important details – you and making sure that you look and feel great on your wedding day. No worries, you have time to pull your beauty plan together and here’s a step-by-step timeline to help you look and feel your best on your special day.

Bridal Beauty Countdown

6 months before

  • Want to try a new hair style or color? Begin now experimenting with new looks.
  • It’s time to get serious about your skin care. Begin to drink lots of water, cleanse, tone and moisturize your skin regularly. If you have problems with your skin, consult with a dermatologist. This is also a good time to start scheduling monthly facial appointments.
  • Have bad eating habits and don’t work out? Get into the habit of eating nutritious healthy foods and start exercising on a regular basis. Once you start eating better and working out, your energy level will rise, you will look better, feel better, and be less stressed out.

4-5 months

  • Start getting monthly pedicures and manicures
  • If you don’t have a stylist you trust, set up some consultations with a few hair and make up stylist to discuss your needs for your wedding. When you go for your consultation bring along pictures of hairstyles you like, even a picture of your veil and headpiece. Be sure to convey all of your needs and wants during the consultation.

3 months

  • Have your hair trimmed every four to six weeks.
  • Make an appointment to preview your wedding hair style.
  • Make an appointment to have your teeth cleaned the week before your wedding.

1-2 months

  • If you are coloring or perming your hair for the wedding, do so now.
  • Schedule trial makeup session with your makeup artist.
  • Schedule trial hair session with your hair stylist, complete with veil and headpiece.

2 Weeks Before

  • Go in for our final haircut or trim. No experimenting.
  • Continue to exercise and eat healthy. Make sure you are drinking lots of water, and loading up on fruits and veggies.
  • Exfoliate and moisturize your skin.
  • Touch up your hair color.
  • Confirm beauty appointments for your wedding day.
  • Remind the groom to get his final trim.

1 Week Before

  • Get your bikini wax, upper lip wax and eye brow shaping and don’t forget to shave your legs.
  • Get your teeth professionally cleaned.
  • Get a massage.
  • Get your final facial.

1 day before

  • Have a manicure and pedicure, after all everyone will be looking at that ring.
  • Exfoliate or polish your skin, gently.
  • Take a long bath and nap.
  • Be sure to drink lots of water.
  • Prepare a beauty emergency kit containing:

  • Cotton balls

  • Eye drops
  • Hairbrush and comb
