Have you been pondering on rather or not to have a dessert station at your wedding reception? Well, after reading this post and looking at all these scrumptious desserts, I promise you your mind will be made up and the dessert station would have won. If it looks like hard work, it’s not, frankly it’s easy as pie. Just select your favorite desserts (which by the way is no easy task for me) set up the table and you’re done! Your dessert table will tell a story, a story of your wedding and of your style. Also your guests will love you and thank you for it.

Ice Cream Dreams says it all for this one. This station is all about nostalgia and I am loving it. What could be cooler than old fashioned ice cream floats? Set up the table with old fashioned ice cream glasses, chocolate, vanilla and strawberry ice cream – keep it simple. Then add bowlfuls of toppings – the good ones, fudge, caramel, sprinkles, nuts, whipped cream and of course cherries.

Hi it’s Jennifer from Calligraphy by Jennifer and I am so excited once again to blog for the fabulous oh, how posh! I have been extremely busy lately working on launching my second line of invitations which were released last week. It has always been a dream of mine to take my calligraphy business to the next level by offering several lines of invitations. My goal was to create something truly unique and personable since there are so many amazing invitation designers in the industry. I felt calligraphy could do just that, giving your invitation the added elegance and flair that you can’t achieve with computerized fonts.

So, I am happy and proud to announce my second line of invitations Stylish Duo Designs…two artists…one style. Stylish Duo Designs is a couture line of custom invitations that combine hand calligraphy and traditional invitation design to create a new and striking way to invite guests to your big day! My amazing and sweet partner Allison Barnhill from Allison Barnhill Designs agreed to collaborate with me whole-heartedly once I presented her with the idea. I have loved and admired Allison’s work for many years so I knew she would be perfect for this venture! After a flurry of Facebook chats and emails about our ideas, we were on a mission and soon thereafter Stylish Duo Designs was finalized!

Every suite in our line has beautifully hand-lettered first names combined with colorful printed layouts designed by Allison. It was important that we created something that was customizable to each client knowing brides have different color and calligraphy preferences. Therefore, we offer the option to change colors and lettering styles with each of our designs. All of our invitations can also be interchanged with layouts from other designs. As of now we have established four designs and offer them all in digital printing. In the future we plan to add more to our collection and a variety of other products. Calling all brides in the Charlotte, NC area.  Green Rice Gallery is the place to be on Sunday March 14th, their having a fabulous wedding show and you absolutely don’t want to miss it!

On Sunday, March 14th from 12-3pm, My great friend Carla owner of Green Rice Gallery will host Weddings with Green Rice, a collection of Charlotte’s best wedding products and services in a beautiful gallery setting!

Each vendor will create lavish displays to showcase their products displayed throughout the gallery as if the guests were attending an actual wedding! Guest are welcome to taste different flavors of cake, see a variety of floral arrangements, get to know her photographer, and pick her gown as she mingles with other brides to be.

Join the fun at Green Rice Gallery and witness this “marriage” of the best local wedding vendors Charlotte has to offer! There will be food, fun and best of all…prizes!

This Save the Date is very near and dear to my heart, because it is the Save the Date for my wedding. Yes, my wedding… I’m getting married.

Brad (my fiancé)  and I got engaged in May 2008 and have decided that we will unite as husband and wife on November 6, 2010.  Our wedding will be reminiscent of  “Old Hollywood Glam”

We are very excited to move into the next chapter of our lives and  I promise to keep you updated with all of our wedding plans.
