Celebrate Halloween
Halloween can be a festive and fun holiday; there are a great deal of things you and your family can do to celebrate. Help your children create their own Halloween costumes, take the children trick or treating, and decorate your home inside and outside just as you would for any other holiday. Make it memorable and special and a holiday to look forward to each year.
Go to Fall Festival
My community like many have celebrations held in the fall. Some call this a Fall Festival and others call it Oktoberfest – I look forward to these every year. It’s an open market where merchants can sell their goods and vendors serve up yummy fall themed food like caramel apples, hot sausages and seasonal beer. A fall festival is fun to attend with friends and family and it also helps to support your local community.
Plan a party with your neighbors
Invite a few friends over for a pumpkin carving party. It will give you an opportunity to reconnect with your neighbors while having fun craving pumpkins. Another idea is to have cocktail party. The party can have fall theme or a Halloween theme. Either way it’s a great way to have fun with you neighbors.
Enjoy Autumn’s Harvest
Fall foods are such a treat and simple to include into your menus. Try making some hearty vegetable soup to enjoy for a fall dinner with neighbors or invite some friends over for a weekend afternoon to share in some homemade apple cider and pumpkin spiced muffins. Look through your favorite recipe books to find some fall recipes to try out on family and friends.
Set the table for fall
The fall season is the kick off to the busiest entertaining season, it used to start with the arrival of Thanksgiving but I think for a number of people it starting more and more with Halloween. In the fall we often look to the warmth of being indoors surrounded by friends, food and family so it’s a must that we create an inviting atmosphere for celebrating and one of the easiest ways to do this is to create a stunning fall table that creates the mood of the season. Create a pretty harvest table with autumn accents that are sure to impress your guest.
