October 14| posted in - food and drinks

I decided to take a break from the wedding diary and talk about my favorite pastime, food. How could we possibly have a week of discussion about autumn without discussing Pumpkins? Not only do they make wonderful decorations for Halloween but they are an excellent addition that guarantees some of the most flavorful dishes. Oh and did I mention that they are an excellent source of iron, zinc and fiber. So let’s start with breakfast shall we?

I love to make a huge breakfast on the weekends and pancakes are an absolute favorite. Our friends over at myrecipes did such a fabulous job providing excellent recipes for so many different dishes. Pumpkin-Ginger Pancakes recipe is easy to make and will surely become a fall tradition in your family. Oh and please don’t forget the ginger butter and I would highly recommend warm maple syrup.

Since breakfast is my favorite meal I needed to add just one more suggestion for lazy weekend mornings when you have a little time to knead some dough. Try out these Spiced Pumpkin Biscuits. If you’re not a breakfast person I can guarantee that these will be a hit for Thanksgiving dinner.

I can only think of one word to describe muffins, yummy. I can only think of one word to describe Pumpkin and Cranberry Muffins….ah, yummy. Their easy to make and you can grab one on the go in the mornings on your way out the door for work. Make it a little more fun by using this great Pumpkin Patch Pan from Crate and Barrel. You’ll be the talk of the office with your muffins shaped like pumpkins.
So I am going to make the Pumpkin-Ginger Pancakes with Ginger Butter this weekend for me an Nelson, I will let you know how they turn out. Which one are you going to make this weekend?
